The locomotive workshop set the stage for the future

On March 27 and 28, 2022, a circular economy fair was held in Copenhagen.

Here, Mesterflyt participated in the first ever LOOP fair, which was held at Lokomotivværkstedet. The fair was officially called LOOP Waste to Resources, and as the name suggests, it focused on circular economy and green growth.

Malene Foyers (Quality Manager) and Victor Helgogaard (CEO) from Mesterflyt , along with 2,700 other attendees, had a fantastic day of knowledge sharing, inspiring presentations from speakers, innovative solutions from many exhibitors and a lot of networking across industries.

An inspiring trade show with the future in focus

LOOP - Waste to Resources is the Nordic region's leading event for waste, resources and circular economy. Lokomotiværkstedet was the setting for the most important event of the year, where Mayor of Technology & Environment Line Barfod opened the fair with a great speech. There were plenty of innovative exhibitors who showcased some of the solutions of the future to great value for the many attendees.

The fair was characterized by inspiring speeches from our Minister of the Environment Lea Wermelin, executives from some of the country's largest companies, professors and members of parliament.

Malene Foyers says

With renewed thoughts and a big bag of knowledge richer, we now return to the workbench to continue working on the initiatives we have already taken and new initiatives that can help further the green growth journey we are on as a company. There is still a lot we can do in terms of the circular economy and we will never reach the finish line. What is not possible today may be possible tomorrow. That's why it's important to keep up to date. The fact that a trade fair that has never been held before gathers 2,700 people over two days just shows how important the circular economy is - it's fantastic to see so many people taking responsibility. And the LOOP fair is a perfect place to share the experiences we each have as a company with each other.

Finally, we can only agree with the following statement from the organizers

Stay in the LOOP! Be a part of a very important mission - scaling up the circular transition. See you again next year on April 26 - 27, 2023.
