Mesterflyt has diligently carried out the task we were entrusted with - transporting residents' furniture and belongings from their homes to the storage rooms we were assigned. We have followed very specific instructions with continuous adjustments in collaboration with DAB.

It is important to emphasize that Mesterflyt was not responsible for cleaning, packing and labeling. This part of the process was handled by another supplier, Polygon. Our task was solely to ensure safe transportation and correct storage in the designated storage rooms.

We are aware that some residents have experienced frustration, especially when it comes to accessing their stored belongings. To alleviate the situation, we offer residents who need assistance with moving their belongings around in the storage rooms. The European Environment Agency, centrally located on Kongens Nytorv in the heart of Copenhagen, is facing an exciting transformation of their premises and working methods. The contract will enter into force on January 1, 2024.

The 7 municipalitiesmunicipalities are:

Frederiksberg Municipality, Herlev Municipality, Ballerup Municipality, Gentofte Municipality, Rudersdal Municipality, Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality & Gladsaxe Municipality. 

Our success in this tender is due to our strong commitment to sustainability, which made up 40% of the award criteria, and competitive pricing, which made up the remaining 60%.

With an impressive overall score of 8.07 out of 10.00, significantly ahead of the closest competitor with a score of 6.00, we demonstrate the importance of caring for our environment. An investment we started back when we were founded in 2017 and is now starting to bear fruit - also with our customers.  

A key element of our offer was the promise of emission-free driving. We have committed to carrying out 75% of the municipalities' moving jobs with electric vehicles.

This ambitious promise is supported by a significant investment in green technology, including the acquisition of two electric vehicles in December 2023 and three newly developed electric moving trucks in the second quarter of 2024.

These vehicles, which hit the market in the first half of 2024, ensure that there is also efficiency in their use with a range not previously seen on larger vehicles. This helps to ensure optimal utilization in daily operations.

As a housing association providing social housing, DAB needs to rehouse residents in Carlsro over the next two years. The project is estimated to be worth DKK 4,500,000, and we are proud to have been awarded this important contract.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that we have won the tender for relocations for the housing association Birkebo, for one of their departments consisting of 116 homes. This is a great step for our company and proves our competencies within the moving industry and in particular the relocation tasks.

"Something like transporting empty air - when we drive with empty moving trucks - is very expensive in both gasoline and CO2. When you're facing a private move, there are a number of moving tips you can put on your to-do list. As a professional moving company, Mesterflyt has handled many moves, so we know that there are a lot of practical things to take care of.

You must remember to report your move to the national register no later than 5 days after you move. You can do this either digitally on the website of the municipality you are moving to or at borger.dk. To report your move online, you must use MitID/NemID or digital signature. You can also report your private move together for your entire household.

The National Population Register automatically notifies all public offices when you have reported your move. However, not all offices are notified that you have changed your address. Therefore, you must remember to inform places such as:

• Utilities - electricity, water, heating, gas
• Doctor - if you keep the same one
• Various subscriptions
• Blood banks
• Phone, TV and internet provider
• Leisure activities.

An important moving tip is to put your name on your new mailbox immediately, otherwise PostNord is not obliged to deliver your mail. Also, remember to remove your name from your old mailbox so there's no confusion about where your letters are going.

If you are signed up for "Advertising - No thanks", "Advertising and free newspapers - No thanks" and/or "No thanks+", remember to sign up again after the move, as these will automatically expire after the change of address.

If you want to change your doctor after your private move, this is free of charge. However, the main rule is that you must choose a doctor within 15 km of your new address. As with the civil registration address, you must change your doctor online to the municipality you are moving to or via borger.dk. Here you can also get an overview of which doctors are open for appointments.

When you move, you need to read your electricity, gas, water and heating bills and report your move to the utility companies. In addition, you must also read your consumption and report your new address to the utility companies, who must have your figures within 5 days of your move. However, some companies require it no later than 3 days after moving.

If you move to a rented home, you can apply for housing benefit. You can find the application form at borger.dk, where you can also read more about the rules for the subsidy.

You may need to make changes to your home insurance for a private move. In addition, not all insurance policies cover all types of homes. For example, if your new house has a thatched roof, there may be changes to your insurance. Remember to contact your insurance company and ask about any changes.

There are several things you need to be aware of when moving abroad. From visas, residence and work permits, rules for bringing pets, vaccination requirements, educational opportunities for your children, banking information, etc.

If you are moving abroad for more than 6 months, you must also report your departure to the National Population Register. This can be done online on the municipality's website, at borger.dk or by contacting the municipality's Citizen Service.
